Roof at the End of Its Life? We Replace Savannah Roofs to Handle Coastal Wind.
If your shingles are curling, the granules are in the gutters, and you've patched the same area twice, it may be time. A roof replacement is a big check to write, so we'll show you why — with photos — before we recommend one.
Full tear-off, every soft sheet of decking replaced, wind-rated installation, and a written price up front.
Call (912) 483-1213In coastal Georgia, the job isn't just about the shingles. It's about the decking, the venting and the metal, because those are what fail in humidity and salt air.
Typical price in Savannah: $9,000–$20,000
Typical architectural-shingle replacement on a single-family home. Size, pitch, layers to tear off, decking repair and historic-district materials move the price.
How we handle roof replacement
A new roof is a system, not just the shingles you see from the street. We tear off to the bare deck so we can see every sheet of plywood or plank, and we replace anything soft before a single new nail goes in. Nailing a new roof into bad wood throws away the wind rating.
Once the deck is solid we run leak barrier in the valleys and around every wall, chimney and skylight, synthetic underlayment across the field, and new metal drip edge on the eaves and rakes. Pipe boots and vents are new, not reused.
Shingles go on to the manufacturer's high-wind nailing pattern. At the end of the day the crew rolls magnets over the driveway, lawn and beds, and walks the job with you before we call it done.

Building a Roof That Lasts on the Georgia Coast
We pay close attention to the attic. A lot of Savannah homes — especially ranches on the Southside and in Windsor Forest — have too little intake venting at the soffits. That traps hot, wet air under the deck. When we replace a roof, we balance intake and exhaust so the new one isn't cooked from underneath.
On the islands and along the marsh, we spec metal and fasteners that resist corrosion. Salt doesn't care about warranties.
In the Historic Districts, the material often has to match what's there. We can walk you through what the Historic Review Board usually expects before you commit to a material.

Where we do this work
How it works
Call or send the form.
Tell us what's going on and what part of Savannah you're in. If it's urgent — an active ceiling leak, hail damage from last night, or blown-off ridge caps — say so and we'll move it to the front of the schedule.
We come take a look.
Someone from our crew walks the roof in person, checks the valleys, pipe boots, flashing, and decking, takes photos of what we find, and answers your questions on the spot.
You get a clear price before any work starts.
Written scope, plain numbers, no pressure. We tell you straight when a simple repair is enough, and you decide if and when to move forward.
Why homeowners call us
- We actually answer the phone — or call back the same day.
- We look at the roof in person and show you photos before quoting a real number.
- We tell you when a repair is enough instead of pushing a full roof replacement.
- We protect your yard, AC condenser, driveway, and flowerbeds while we work.
- We haul off every scrap of old shingle and run magnetic nail sweeps before we call the job done.
What you can expect from us
Your roof is only as good as the crew that puts it on and the underlayment and flashing underneath.
We do the job the way the manufacturer specs and local wind and hail codes say it should be done, and we clean up the yard before we leave.
If something doesn't look right when we're done, walk it with us before we pack up the truck.
Questions we get a lot
How long does a roof replacement take in Savannah?
Most single-family homes take one to three days once materials arrive, weather permitting. Historic or steep roofs take longer.
What's the best shingle for Savannah?
A good architectural shingle installed to the high-wind nailing pattern works for most homes. Near the water, metal roofing is worth a look. We'll give you options with prices.
Do you replace rotten decking?
Yes. We replace any soft or delaminated sheets we find after tear-off, and we tell you the per-sheet price before we start so there are no surprises.
Ready to get it handled?
